Charles Frumberg, Portfolio Manager and Founder
Mr. Frumberg has been the Managing Member of Emancipation Capital since its inception in late 2003. Before Emancipation Capital, he was Co-Head of Equities at SG Cowen where he managed a 350-person healthcare and technology sales and research team for four years. Mr. Frumberg was also on the merchant and venture banking committees at the firm. Before that, he was at UBS Securities where he ultimately Co-Headed its Global Research, led Merchant Banking investments in technology and was on the Management Committee of the firm for seven years. Mr. Frumberg has 14 years of analytical, deal and investment experience at various investment banks. He graduated New York University’s BS/MBA program with honors. Mr. Frumberg sits on the Board of Directors of FirstRain, Nightingale Informatix and TechTeam Global. Formally on the Board of  Directors for Trilogy Software and Nsight Software.


Joo-Hun Kim, Lead Equity Analyst
Joo-Hun has been with Emancipation Capital since inception, acting as the lead analyst. Prior to that, he spent four years at SG Cowen as a Software Analyst, as well as a year at Orbitex as their Software and Internet Analyst. Before his career in finance, Joo-Hun ran technology at Orbitex and was a software developer at State Street. He has an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of  Business and an Honours B.Sc. in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Toronto.


Christian Wallace, Analyst
Chris has been with Emancipation Capital since 2007. He joined us from SAC Capital Advisors where he was an analyst for two  years for a technology portfolio and their syndicate desk. Prior to that, he was a derivatives market maker at GroupOne  Trading Inc. on the American Stock Exchange. He received his BS in Finance from Lehigh University.
