Charles Frumberg |

Founder

Charles has been the Managing Member of Emancipation Capital since its inception in 2003. He has 25 years of investment experience, including 14 years of analytical, deal and investment experience at various investment banks.

Before founding Emancipation Capital, Charles was co-head of equities at SG Cowen, managing a 350-person healthcare and technology sales and research team. He also was a member of SG's merchant and venture banking committees. Prior to that he co-headed global research at UBS Securities, and led technology investments for their merchant bank. Charles also served on the UBS Management Committee for seven years.

Charles earned a BS in economics at New York University, graduating with multiple academic honors in 1979. He also attended NYU’s Stern School of Business as part of its BS/MBA program. He has been a member of the board of directors of several public and private companies.


Christian Wallace |

Equity Analyst

Christian has been with Emancipation Capital since 2007 as an equity analyst.  Prior to Emancipation, he had several years experience investing in the technology sector, as well as syndicate and derivative investments.   

He joined us from SAC Capital Advisors where he was an analyst for a technology/Internet portfolio, and the firm's global syndicate desk.  Prior to that, he was a member of the derivatives market making team at GroupOne Trading on the American Stock Exchange.

In college he worked for a quantitative finance analyst on Bear Stearns' program trading desk, specializing in modeling supply/demand dynamics of rebalancing indices.  At Lehigh University he studied mechanical engineering and finance, earning a B.S. in quantitative finance with honors.
